Concurrent Phasing Pedestrian Signals

The Town has been receiving may inquiries regarding pedestrian crosswalks at many of the new traffic signals that have been installed by the DOT recently.  The DOT, as well as most of the country, has moved from a dedicated pedestrian phase to what is called a concurrent phase for pedestrian crossings.   Below is a simple explanation by the DOT.
