RockyHill_Horizontal_300 Welcome to Rocky Hill, CT, a town of 21,000 residents rich in history dating back to the Revolutionary War. Located on the shore of the Connecticut River, Rocky Hill is located just two hours from both Boston and New York City and eight miles south of Hartford.  Residents and businesses have access to Interstate I-91, I-84 and State RT 9, as well as passenger and freight rail lines with direct connections to Amtrak and Metro North Lines. Bradley International Airport and the port of New Haven are less than a half hours drive.

Rocky Hill’s education system is a source of community pride. The newly renovated High School has earned a 2019 “College Success Award” for its college prep programs. The High School’s “Project Lead the Way” program has been designated a 2018-19 “Distinguished High School” for its PLTW engineering programs. The West Hill elementary school has been named a 2019-20 “Elementary School of the Year” by the Connecticut Association of Schools. Rocky Hill is also home to Porter & Chester Institute and a new CREC STEM Academy.

The strength of Rocky Hill’s quality of life lies in the Town’s diversity of opportunities.  Launch your boat in the CT River, fish from our floating docks or just enjoy a view of the River or maybe a lazy ride on the historic Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry.  Walk among the giants at Dinosaur State Park or the ruins in Dividend Park or marvel the sites in Quarry Park.  Afterwards, visit the Rocky Hill Historical Society at Academy Hall before having lunch or dinner at one of over 50 eating establishments.  From “Friday Night Movies” and evening summer concerts, to “Fallfest” and “Winter Wonderland”, Rocky Hill is not to be missed…

Rocky Hill continues to encourage growth and community reinvestment without sacrificing our home town atmosphere.  Through prudent management, we maintain a low tax rate and a continuing commitment to our citizens and businesses while maintaining an exemplary education system and a high quality of life.
