[ARCHIVED] Announcement From Eversource Regarding Power Restoration

Good morning,

Powerful winds and heavy rain are causing power outages across Connecticut this morning. Our crews are responding to emergencies and assessing damage as safety allows. As crews gain access to outage locations, restoration information will be provided. We’re working as fast as possible to get power back to those customers affected.

The heavy rain combined with the already heavily saturated ground from last weekend’s storm could further weaken trees and tree limbs today.  More damage may occur as strong winds, with gusts up to 65 mph, are expected to continue.

 Today’s Priorities:

Hundreds of crews were pre-positioned ahead of the storm and are responding as it is safe to do so, working with your town and public safety officials to clear blocked roads and make areas of damage safe.

As it’s safe, crews are removing trees from roads and power lines and making repairs.

 Updates and Safety:

Stay away from any downed power lines and assume any wire you see is live. Call 911 and Eversource immediately to report it.

You can also report your outage by phone at 888-783-6617.

View the outage map from your mobile phone.

Follow us on social media for real time updates from our crews.

As always, for information and updates throughout the restoration, please contact me directly.

Stay safe.

Thank you,

David Noble
