[ARCHIVED] Silas Deane Highway SS4A Corridor Study

The Town of Wethersfield, in partnership with the Town of Rocky Hill, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), and the Capital Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), have initiated the Silas Deane Highway (Route 99) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Corridor Study. This 18-month transportation study will evaluate current conditions along the Silas Deane Highway corridor and identify opportunities to improve safety, mobility, and connectivity for all users, including drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders.

Both towns will host open public information meetings to introduce the Silas Deane Highway (Route 99) SS4A Corridor Study, outline its objectives, present existing conditions and preliminary findings, and invite community feedback on safety concerns, travel experiences, and improvement priorities. Public feedback is essential to help the Towns of Wethersfield and Rocky Hill understand how residents, businesses, and travelers experience the corridor today and to guide the development of recommendations for future improvements.  Residents and interested parties from either town are welcome to attend whichever meeting is more convenient.
