Brush and leaves can be brought to the Transfer Station at 59 Old Forge Road year round.
Curbside Brush Collection
The Town Highway Department will collect branches and shrubs placed at the curb, beginning on the 3rd Monday of each month from March to October. All branches and shrubs must be placed at the curb, ready for collection, by 7am of the 3rd Monday of the month. The Town checks each street starting from the east side of the Town and working west. There is no list or reason to call. Branches must be no longer than six (6) to eight (8) feet or wider than three (3”) inches, stacked neatly with cut ends at the curb. The Highway Department reserves the right to limit the amount of material removed from a residence to a maximum of 10 cubic yards.
Curbside Leaf Collection
Leaf collection will begin the 4th week in October at the east end of Rocky Hill and continue throughout the entire town until all the leaves are collected, typically by the end of the 1st week of December. Leaf collection is at the mercy of the winter season’s first snowfall.
Curbside Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas tree pickup begins the first weekday after New Year’s Day and continues until all the trees are picked up. Tree collection is weather dependent. Trees can also be brought to the Transfer Station at any time.
